Grafton Group plc is an international distributor of building materials and DIY products, operating brands like Selco, Woodie's, and Chadwicks across Europe. They have a central hub in Wythall, Birmingham and have a dynamic, fast-moving environment that emphasises growth through continuous learning.

The Challenge:

Grafton were looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to help support their growing systems environment and HR team, as well as someone who could eventually step into the role of Head of HR Systems.

The challenge was that the internal team were unable to identify suitable candidates from their ad response. Not only this, but with 5 other recruitment firms working on the role for a few weeks, they hadn’t found anyone suitable for the role yet. To add to the difficulty, they needed someone local due to a 3-day in-office policy.

Our Approach

Vivo was brought on to support Grafton who had difficulty filling the role. We held a deep dive session with the Group Head of HR Systems to clarify the role, role impact, candidate profile and their short to long term objectives within the team.
